The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year. Paul Murphy Named Regional Director for Region 3

Washington, D.C. – National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) Acting Chairman Philip A. Miscimarra and General Counsel Richard F. Griffin, Jr. have named Paul Murphy the new Regional Director for the Agency’s Region 3 Office in Buffalo, New York.  The Region 3 Office is responsible for conducting elections, investigating unfair labor practice charges, and protecting the right of workers to act collectively to improve their wages and working conditions throughout most of New York State and Vermont.

Linda Leslie Named Regional Attorney for Buffalo Regional Office

Washington, D.C. -- National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) General Counsel Richard F. Griffin, Jr. has named Linda Leslie the Regional Attorney for the Agency’s Region 3 Office in Buffalo. In this position, Ms. Leslie will assist the Regional Director in the enforcement and administration of the National Labor Relations Act in most of New York State, including Buffalo and Albany.

Mary Elizabeth Mattimore Named NLRB Regional Attorney in Buffalo

National Labor Relations Board General Counsel Richard F. Griffin, Jr. announced the appointment of Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Mattimore as the Regional Attorney of the NLRB’s Regional Office in Buffalo, New York (Region 3).  In her new position, Ms. Mattimore will assist Regional Director Rhonda P. Ley in the enforcement and administration of the National Labor Relations Act, in several counties in Vermont and all New York State counties except the New York City metropolitan area serviced by Regions 2 and 29.

NLRB Judge finds Hogan Transports, Inc. violated the National Labor Relations Act

In May 2013, the drivers at Hogan Transports, Inc. (Employer), a trucking company, began a union organizing campaign at their workplace in West Coxsakie, New York, with the assistance of Teamsters, Local 294, International Brotherhood of Teamsters (the Union).  A majority of employees signed union authorization cards and the Union filed a petition and sought to become the bargaining representative for the workers.
