Unit Sought: The bargaining unit is currently defined to encompass the Company’s Northeast Region. Due to a restructuring of the Company effective August 1, 2011, the Northeast Region is being realigned to encompass a portion of the Mid-Atlantic Region that includes the states of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, along with additional territories within Pennsylvania. The Bargaining Unit Representative (IAM) within the Northeast Region had petitioned for representation of other employees in the Mid-Atlantic Region in October of 2005, which subsequently led to a tally of ballots against representation by a count of 19 to 14 (with one challenged ballot). 5-RC-15916 The Company requests clarification on the scope of the existing bargaining unit with respect to those former Mid-Atlantic service employees who are directly impacted by the realignment by virtue of their assigned domiciles within one of the states specified above
