Voting Unit (Unit A): Included: All full-time and regular part-time maintenance mechanics employed by the Employer at its facility currently located at 3195 Walnut Avenue, Long Beach, California. Excluded: All other employees, office clerical employees, professional employees, managerial employees, guards, and supervisors as defined in the Act, as amended. If a majority of valid ballots are cast for INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MACHINISTS AND AEROSPACE WORKERS, DISTRICT LODGE 947, AFL-CIO, they will be taken to have indicated the employees' desire to be included in the existing First Student Avalon, San Fernando and St. Andrews unit currently represented by INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF MACHINISTS AND AEROSPACE WORKERS, DISTRICT LODGE 947, AFL-CIO. If a majority of valid ballots are not cast for representation, they will be taken to have indicated the employees' desire to remain unrepresented.

Voting Unit (Unit A): Included: all PhD student employees who are enrolled in a Brandeis University PhD program and receive compensation in exchange for providing research services, including but not limited to, the following titles: Research Assistant, Student PhD Research Assistant, and Student Graduate Research Assistant, Training Grant Assistants, and Training Grant Fellows. Excluded: all fellows/PhD candidates enrolled in the University’s PhD programs in a non-service status (defined to be those students who, regardless of title, are not required to provide research services in exchange for a stipend or other funding provided by the University), and all other graduate students, undergraduate students, all graduate students in the Rabb School of Continuing Studies, graduate students receiving University Prize instructorships and all other employees, managers, confidential employees, guards, and supervisors as defined in the Act. If a majority of valid ballots are cast for Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 509, they will be taken to have indicated the employees’ desire to be included in the existing unit of graduate student workers currently represented by Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 509. If a majority of valid ballots are not cast for representation, they will be taken to have indicated the employees desire to remain unrepresented.
