Voting Unit (Unit A): Including: All full-time and regular part-time inpatient Social Workers employed by the Employer at Allina Health Abbott Northwestern Hospital at its facility located at 800 East 28th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55407; Excluding: Social Workers working in outpatient care, Social Workers working in clinics, Social Workers working in the Courage Kenney Rehabilitation Institute, business office clerical employees, office clerical employees, RNs, all other professional employees, skilled maintenance employees, technical employees, all other non-professional employees, all other Allina Health Abbott Northwestern Hospital employees, confidential employees, managerial employees, and guards and supervisors as defined by the National Labor Relations Act, and all other employees. If a majority of valid ballots are cast for SEIU Healthcare Minnesota and Iowa, they will be taken to have indicated the employees’ desire to be included in the existing professional employee and pharmacist bargaining unit currently represented by SEIU Healthcare Minnesota and Iowa. If a majority of valid ballots are not cast for representation, they will be taken to have indicated the employees’ desire to remain unrepresented.

Excluded: All Chief Engineers, office clerical employees, confidential employees, managerial employees, professional employees, guards and supervisors as defined by the act. Others permitted to vote: The parties have agreed that Engineering Supervisor may vote in the election but their ballots will be challenged since their eligibility has not been resolved. No decision has been made regarding whether the individuals in these classifications or groups are included in, or excluded from, the bargaining unit. The eligibility or inclusion of these individuals will be resolved, if necessary, following the election.
