Voting Unit (Unit A): PROFESSIONAL UNIT: VOTING GROUP A All full-time, regular part-time, and per diem* medical technologists, lead medical technologists, lead lab technologists, and cytotechnologists employed by the Employer at its 45 Reade Place (Vassar Brothers Medical Center) location; but excluding all non-professional employees, managers, guards, and supervisors and all other professional employees as defined in the Act, and all other employees. *The parties agree that for purposes of eligibility in this election, eligible to vote are all employees in the unit who have worked an average of four (4) hours or more per week during the thirteen (13) weeks immediately preceding the eligibility date for the election. NON-PROFESSIONAL UNIT: VOTING GROUP B All full-time, regular part-time, and per diem* lab technicians employed by the Employer at its 45 Reade Place (Vassar Brothers Medical Center) location, as residual titles to the existing unit of lab employees currently represented by 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East (case 03-RC-179408); but excluding managers, guards, and supervisors and professional employees as defined in the Act, and all other employees. * The parties agree that for purposes of eligibility in this election, eligible to vote are all employees in the unit who have worked an average of four (4) hours or more per week during the thirteen (13) weeks immediately preceding the eligibility date for the election. OR In the event the majority of the voting Professionals (Voting Group A) vote to be included in a unit with nonprofessional employees (Voting Group B), the following combined unit is appropriate: COMBINED UNIT All full-time, regular part-time, and per diem* medical technologists, lead medical technologists, lead lab technologists, cytotechnologists, and lab technicians employed by the Employer at its 45 Reade Place (Vassar Brothers Medical Center) location, as residual titles to the existing unit of lab employees currently represented by 1199 SEIU United Healthcare Workers East (case 03-RC-179408); but excluding managers, guards, and supervisors and all other professional employees as defined in the Act, and all other employees. * The parties agree that for purposes of eligibility in this election, eligible to vote are all employees in the unit who have worked an average of four (4) hours or more per week during the thirteen (13) weeks immediately preceding the eligibility date for the election.
