The Board

The Board has five Members and primarily acts as a quasi-judicial body in deciding cases on the basis of formal records in administrative proceedings. Board Members are appointed by the President to 5-year terms, with Senate consent, the term of one Member expiring each year.

Who We Are

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is comprised of a team of professionals who work to assure fair labor practices and workplace democracy nationwide.

NLRB Mobile Apps

The NLRB currently offers the NLRB Mobile App, a mobile app that provides employers, employees and unions with information regarding their rights and obligations under the National Labor Relations Act.

Important note: Appellate courts have enjoined the NLRB's rule requiring the posting of employee rights under the National Labor Relations Act.  However, employers are free to voluntarily post the notice, if they wish.
