Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees, employers, and unions from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year. Region 2 serves areas in New York from its Regional Office in New York City.
Christen Ritter Appointed to the Assistant to the Regional Director of Region 2
Today, the National Labor Relations Board Acting General Counsel Peter Sung Ohr announced the appointment of Christen Ritter as the Assistant to the Regional Director of the NLRB’s Regional office in New York, NY (Region 2). In her new position, Ms. Ritter will assist Regional Director John J. Walsh, Jr. in the administration and enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act, serving the boroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx, and the counties of Orange, Putnam, Rockland, and Westchester.
