Our Enforcement Activity

10(j) Activity

Sections 10(j) and 10(l) of the National Labor Relations Act authorize the National Labor Relations Board to seek temporary injunctions against employers and unions, respectively, in Federal District Courts to stop unfair labor practices while the case is being litigated before an administrative law judge or the Board. These temporary injunctions are needed to ensure that any remedies under the Act that the Board may issue will be meaningful.  Visit this page to see some real-life examples.

Protected Concerted Activity

The law we enforce gives employees the right to act together to try to improve their pay and working conditions or fix job-related problems, even if they aren't in a union.
