Unit Sought: Current bargaining unit.

Unit Sought: Current Unit: Included: All full-time and regular part-time cardiac 1 and 2 technicans employed by the Employer at its Greensburg, Pennsylvania facility; excluding all office clerical employees and guards, professional employees and supervisors as defined in the Act. Proposed Clarification of Unit: The petition at #5 describes the certified unit. In negotiations for an initial contract the parties negotiated for, and included, two positions in the collective bargaining agreement: ECG Monitoring Technician and ECG Monitoring Technican/Holter Technician, Subsequent to negotiations the Employer hired three persons for a position descreibe as Monitoring Assistant. The parties are unable to agree whether or nor the affected employees should be included in or excluded from the bargaining unit. The Petitioner takes the position that the affected employees share a community of interest with bargaining unit employees and, therefore the unit should be clarified to included monitoring assistants. Monitoring assistant work in the same department and under the day-to-day supervision by the same supervisors as unit employees and perform similar tasks.
