Today, National Labor Relations Board General Counsel Jennifer A. Abruzzo announced the appointment of Eric A. Taylor as the Regional Director of the NLRB Region 9-Cincinnati. Region 9 is responsible for conducting elections, investigating unfair labor practice charges, and protecting the rights of employees in parts of Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia.

“Eric has proven to be a dedicated public servant with a strong commitment to the National Labor Relations Act,” said General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo. “I am confident he will excel in his new role and will undoubtedly work every day to fully effectuate the Act as the Regional Director of Region 9.”

Eric A. Taylor is a long-tenured Board agent in Region 9, where he has spent his entire NLRB career. He started with the Agency as a Field Attorney following graduation from The University of Akron School of Law in 1987. He was promoted to Supervisory Attorney in July 2013 and to Regional Attorney in July 2022.

Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees, employers, and unions from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year. Region 9 serves Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia from its Regional Office in Cincinnati.
