The NLRB public website is scheduled to undergo routine maintenance from Friday, November 21, 2025, at 11:00 PM ET (8:00 PM PT) until Monday, November 24, 2025, at 6:00 AM ET. From Friday night at 11:00 pm ET through Saturday morning at about 9:00 am ET, E-Filing will not be available. From Saturday through Monday morning, the E-Filing applications (E-Filing, Online Charge and Petition, and My Account Portal) may be periodically unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience.
The NLRB reopened from shutdown status on November 13, 2025. Due dates to file or serve most documents were tolled during the period of the shutdown, although due dates cannot be tolled for filing and service of unfair labor practice charges, applications for awards of fees and other expenses under the Equal Access to Justice Act, and certain representation petitions. For documents where tolling applies, the terms are that for each day on which the Agency’s offices were closed for all or any portion of the day, one day is added to the time for filing or service of the document. If the new due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the new due date will be moved to the next business day. For example, if the original due date was October 7, 2025 and the shutdown lasted 43 days, the revised due date is November 19, 2025. See chart for revised due dates.

On Saturday, June 25th, Region 7 of the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) will join the Detroit office of the Mexican Consulate for a mobile clinic event in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the first joint event between the offices. The Mexican Consulate staff will provide their services to the community, including passport, documentation, and legal services. NLRB staff will be there to provide information on the National Labor Relations Act and the rights afforded to workers under the National Labor Relations Act. The Consulado Móvil event will be held at Southwest Middle High School at 327 Rumsey Street SW, Grand Rapids from 8 am to 4 pm.

On March 31, Elizabeth Kerwin, Regional Director of Region 7 of the NLRB, and Roberto Nicolás Vázquez, Head Cónsul of the Detroit office of the Mexican Consulate, executed a letter of arrangement (LOA). The LOA provides a framework for the offices to formally collaborate to, among other things, educate Mexican workers, their employers, and Mexican nationals who own businesses in the United States about the National Labor Relations Act.

The Regional LOA is part of a bi-national partnership to strengthen ties between the NLRB, the Mexican Embassy, and its consulates around the country to enhance efforts in providing Mexican workers, their employers, and Mexican business owners in the United States with information, guidance, and access to education regarding rights and responsibilities under the National Labor Relations Act.  NLRB General Counsel Jennifer Abruzzo and Mexican Ambassador to the United States Esteban Moctezuma signed a LOA on September 2, 2021 laying the groundwork for local collaboration.

Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees, employers, and unions from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year. Region 7 serves areas in Michigan from its Regional Office in Detroit and its Resident Office in Grand Rapids.
