NLRB Region 2-Manhattan Announces Results of REI Ballot Count

New York, New York—Region 2 of the National Labor Relations Board completed a ballot count on March 2, 2022 in a union election involving employees at Recreational Equipment Inc. choosing whether or not be represented by the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union. The ballot count was conducted by an NLRB Region 2 employee at the employer’s SoHo facility. The resultant Tally of Ballots shows the following results:

There are no challenged ballots. A majority of the valid votes counted has been cast for the union, the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union. The results of this count will not be certified until the Region processes any objections that might be filed by the parties contesting the election. Any objections to the election are due within five business days after the preparation of the tally, which is Wednesday, March 9, 2022.

The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year. Region 2 serves areas in New York from its Regional Office in New York City.
