Charles Muhl

Judge

Judge Muhl was appointed in September of 2014. Previously, he served as an administrative law judge for the Social Security Administration in 2013-14.  Before that, he spent more than 11 years as a trial attorney with the Board’s Chicago regional office, where he handled some of the region’s more significant cases.  He also was employed in the private practice of law in Chicago and as an economist with the U.S. Department of Labor in Washington, DC.  Judge Muhl received his B.A. degree from Washington University in St. Louis (1991) and his J.D. degree from the Georgetown University Law Center (2000).
