Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees, employers, and unions from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year. Region 27 serves areas in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, and Nebraska from its Regional Office in Denver.

Welcome to Region 27 of the National Labor Relations Board. We conduct elections, investigate charges of unfair labor practices, and protect the rights of workers to act together, serving the states of Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and parts of Montana, Idaho, and Nebraska from our regional office in Denver. If you have questions or wish to file a charge or petition for election, please visit our office or call and ask for the Information Officer on duty. Paula S. Sawyer
In 2016, Paula S. Sawyer was appointed to serve as the Regional Director in the Region 27 Office in Denver. A career NLRB employee, Ms. Sawyer has been serving as Regional Attorney in Region 5.
Outreach
Field Attorney Kristyn Myers and Language Assistant Carlos Palafox wil be conducting an outreach event at Denver Public School (Monroe). They will be discussing the NLRB and representation elections and conducting a mock presidential election for the 4thgrade classes.
