Daniel Nelson

Acting Regional Director

Daniel N. Nelson was appointed as the Acting Regional Director of the NLRB’s Regional Office in Chicago, Illinois (Region 13). In 2013 he was appointed as the Assistant to the Regional Director.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mr. Nelson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Syracuse University in 1994, and his Masters of Arts in Labor and Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana.  He worked for the Service Employees International Union for two years before joining the Agency in 1999 as a Field Examiner in the Chicago office. He was promoted to Supervisory Examiner in 2007.
