The National Labor Relations Board is currently in shutdown/furlough due to a lapse in appropriations. NLRB headquarters and all field offices are closed. This website remains available to the public but is not actively maintained during the shutdown. Accordingly, the E-Filing applications (E-Filing, Online Charge and Petition, and My Account Portal) remain available. Documents E-filed during the shutdown will be processed once normal operations resume.

Please note that due dates to file or serve most documents continue to be tolled during the period of the shutdown. However, the due dates for filing unfair labor practice charges and certain representation petitions cannot be tolled. Click here for more information.

On September 12, the Region warmly welcomed Field Attorney Raymond (Ray) Myers IV to our St. Louis office.  Ray was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky.  A graduate of the University of Louisville, he is a fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals, so we anticipate he will adapt well permanently to the home of the St. Louis Cardinals.  Ray received his law degree from the Washington University Law School in St. Louis, and while there, he revived the Labor and Employment Law Society at the law school.  He also joined the Public Service Advisory Board and was a member of the Washington University Law Review.  Prior to joining Region 14, he clerked for a year in the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.  We know he will be a key asset to help us protect the rights of working people.

Established in 1935, the National Labor Relations Board is an independent federal agency that protects employees, employers, and unions from unfair labor practices and protects the right of private sector employees to join together, with or without a union, to improve wages, benefits and working conditions. The NLRB conducts hundreds of workplace elections and investigates thousands of unfair labor practice charges each year. Region 14 serves areas in Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma from its Regional Office in St. Louis, its Subregional Office in Overland Park, and its Resident Office in Tulsa.
