NLRB Region 2-Manhattan Announces Results of New York Times Ballot Count

New York, New York—Region 2 of the National Labor Relations Board completed a ballot count on March 3, 2022 in a union election involving employees at the New York Times Company. choosing whether or not be represented by the The NewsGuild of New York, Local 31003. The ballot count was conducted by an NLRB Region 2 employee in the NLRB’s Manhattan office. The resultant Tally of Ballots shows the following results:

The challenged ballots are not determinative. A majority of the valid votes counted has been cast for the union, the The NewsGuild of New York, Local 31003. The results of this count will not be certified until the Region processes any objections that might be filed by the parties contesting the election. Any objections to the election are due within five business days after the preparation of the tally, which is Thursday, March 10, 2022.
