The NLRB reopened from shutdown status on November 13, 2025. Due dates to file or serve most documents were tolled during the period of the shutdown, although due dates cannot be tolled for filing and service of unfair labor practice charges, applications for awards of fees and other expenses under the Equal Access to Justice Act, and certain representation petitions. For documents where tolling applies, the terms are that for each day on which the Agency’s offices were closed for all or any portion of the day, one day is added to the time for filing or service of the document. If the new due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the new due date will be moved to the next business day. For example, if the original due date was October 7, 2025 and the shutdown lasted 43 days, the revised due date is November 19, 2025. See chart for revised due dates.

Rachel Harvey Appointed to the Regional Attorney of Region 28

Today, the National Labor Relations Board Acting General Counsel Peter Sung Ohr announced the appointment of Rachel Harvey as the Regional Attorney of the NLRB’s Regional office in Phoenix, Arizona (Region 28). In her new position, Ms. Harvey will assist Regional Director Cornele A. Overstreet in the administration and enforcement of the National Labor Relations Act in Arizona, New Mexico, the southern half of Nevada and southwest Texas.

A native of Tampa, Florida, Ms. Harvey earned her Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service, cum laude, from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University in 2001 and her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, at the Frederic G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida in 2004. Ms. Harvey began her career in 2004 as a Field Attorney in the NLRB’s Region 12 Office in Tampa.  She transferred to the NLRB’s Subregion 36 Office in Portland, Oregon in 2011 and was promoted to a Supervisory Field Attorney position in the NLRB’s Region 28 Office in Phoenix, Arizona in 2015.
