The Newark office of the National Labor Relations Board has made arrangements to conduct a representation election among nearly 300 Patient Service Technicians and Patient Center Site Coordinators employed by Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings (“LabCorp.) in numerous facilities in eight northern New Jersey counties.
On May 21 and 22, 2013, twelve agents of the NLRB will be dispatched to twenty voting locations to provide LabCorp. employees with an opportunity to vote by secret ballot on whether or not they wish to be represented for collective bargaining purposes by the petitioning Union, District 1199J National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees, AFSCME.
After the polls close late in the afternoon on May 22, the ballots will be secured and returned to the NLRB’s Newark office, where they will be opened and counted on the morning of May 23.
