The NLRB reopened from shutdown status on November 13, 2025. Due dates to file or serve most documents were tolled during the period of the shutdown, although due dates cannot be tolled for filing and service of unfair labor practice charges, applications for awards of fees and other expenses under the Equal Access to Justice Act, and certain representation petitions. For documents where tolling applies, the terms are that for each day on which the Agency’s offices were closed for all or any portion of the day, one day is added to the time for filing or service of the document. If the new due date falls on a weekend or holiday, the new due date will be moved to the next business day. For example, if the original due date was October 7, 2025 and the shutdown lasted 43 days, the revised due date is November 19, 2025. See chart for revised due dates.

Case Number: 32-RM-353587

Date Filed: 10/28/2024

Status: Closed

No. of Employees: 5

Location: Mountain View, CA

Region Assigned: Region 32, Oakland, California

Unit Description: Response to Item 5a: The Demand for Recognition (Exhibit B) lists the following “Included” and “Excluded” classifications: Employees Included: All full time and part time Fire & Life Safety Crew. Employees Excluded: All other classifications, including but not limited to guards, managers, confidential employees and supervisors as defined by the Act. Included: Despite the above, the RM Petitioner, Jones Lang LaSalle’s (the “Employer”), contends that the RC Petition filed by the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 39 (the “Union”) does not properly identify the job classifications of the proposed unit by stating “[a]ll full time and part time Fire & Life Safety Crew.” Subject to and without waiving such contention, the Employer believes the correct titles are Fire Life Safety Systems Lead; Fire Life Safety Systems Technician; Fire Specialist, Fire; Specialist, Fire Services; and Specialist, Fire Safety. Excluded: The Employer also contends that all other employees, including, but not limited to, guards, managers, confidential employees, and supervisors as defined by the Act must be excluded.
