Voting Unit (Unit A):All full-time, regular part-time, short hour, and per diem CLAs, CLA leads, and Assistant Pathology I employees employed by the Medical Center, physically located at 2450 Ashby Avenue, Berkeley, California 94705 and at 350 Hawthorne Street, Oakland, California, 94609, whose duties are under the control and supervision of the Pathologist who directs the activities of the Clinical Laboratory. excluding phlebotomists, processors, blood gas technicians, dieners, office clerical employees, managerial employees, managerial coordinators, other technical employees, other professional employees, confidential employees, guards and supervisors as defined by the National Labor Relations Act. Also eligible to vote are all per diem employees in the unit who have worked an average of four (4) hours or more per week during the 13 weeks immediately preceding the eligibility date for the election and short hour employees who have worked at least 16 hours in a pay period but less than 40 hours.
