Unit Description: Description of present unit: Approximately 2,900 professional and technical employees, located at over 70 work sites, in roughly 200 job classifications. Major lines of business where represented employees work are Electric Operations, Gas Operations, Shared Services, Power Generation, and Information Technology. Proposed Clarification: Addition of four (4) "Construction Engineers" in the Electric Substation Maintenance department. These employees perform tasks identical to the "Maintenance and Construction Engineers" already within the represented unit. Both the Construction Engineers and the M&C Engineers are in the same department, Substation Maintenance. The M&C Engineer classification was added to the ESC bargaining unit on 12/8/2007 pursuant to an agreement between the parties; at that time the Construction Engineer classification did not exist and the Union did not become aware of its existence until September 2013.
