Unit Description: 5a. Description of Present Unit Included: All non-tenure track faculty, lecturers, senior lecturers, master lecturers, adjuncts, adjunct assistants, adjunct associates, post-graduate teaching fellows, visiting assistant professors, and distinguished visiting professors employed by the Employer who are currently teaching for the Employer or who have taught at least three (3) credit hours during at least two (2) semesters during the calendar years 2019 or 2020. Excluded: All other employees, tenured full-time faculty, deans, faculty on pre-retirement leave, non ranked non-faculty (including but not limited to continuing education instructors, professional institute instructors, summer music studies instructors, summer institute instructors, summer institute teaching assistants, Saturday school instructors, Library of Congress instructors, Library of Congress coaches), faculty who are also employed by the Employer in a full time or part-time staff position, guest lecturers, visiting artists, accompanists, professional and clerical administrative staff, managerial employees (including deans, department chairs and program directors), and confidential employees, guards and supervisors as defined in the Act. 6a. Description of Proposed Unit Included: All non-tenure track faculty, lecturers, senior lecturers, master lecturers, adjuncts, adjunct assistants, adjunct associates, post-graduate teaching fellows, visiting assistant professors, and distinguished visiting professors employed by the Employer who are currently teaching for the Employer who have taught at least three (3) credit hours during at least two (2) semesters during the calendar years 2019 or 2020, and all employees employed as coordinators, curricular coordinators, curricular directors, and non-managerial department chairs and program directors. Excluded: All other employees, tenured full-time faculty, deans, faculty on pre-retirement leave, non ranked non-faculty (including but not limited to continuing education instructors, professional institute instructors, summer music studies instructors, summer institute instructors, summer institute teaching assistants, Saturday school instructors, Library of Congress instructors, Library of Congress coaches),faculty who are also employed by the Employer in a full time or part-time staff position, guest lecturers, visiting artists, accompanists, professional and clerical administrative staff, managerial employees (including deans, department chairs and program directors), and confidential employees, guards and supervisors as defined in the Act.
