Donna N. Dawson

Judge

Judge Dawson was appointed in April of 2013. She previously worked for 17 years with the EEOC in various capacities, including as an administrative judge and a chief administrative judge.  She also spent time in private practice specializing in workers compensation, products liability and employment law; was an attorney for the Department of Health and Human Services in Dallas; and served as staff attorney and acting chief of the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau’s child advocacy unit in Baltimore.  She received her undergraduate degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., and her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center.  She was an SSA judge for over 2 years before transferring to the NLRB Judges Division.
