Board Member Recusal Lists

Board member recusal lists have historically been utilized by the Agency to ensure that Board members are screened from cases from which they must be recused.  Recusal issues are carefully reviewed and identified to ensure confidence in the impartiality and fairness of Agency proceedings.  Board member recusal lists are maintained and updated by the Agency’s Ethics Office in consultation with the Office of the Executive Secretary, Board member, and/or their offices. In its Ethics Recusal Report, issued on November 19, 2019, the Board unanimously decided to make the official Ethics Office Board member recusal lists publicly available, and post the most-current recusal lists on the NLRB’s public website.  The lists posted here will be updated by the Ethics Office as new recusal obligations are identified, including as part of the yearly financial disclosure review process.  The lists are current as of the date noted on the list.
