Unit Sought: Included: All full time and regular part time employees employed by the employer at its Cooper-Siegel and Sharpsburg Library locations including but not limited to Library Services Assistants I & II, Youth Services Specialist, Communications and Marketing Specialist, Local History Specialist, Adult Outreach Specialist, Development Manager, Business Operations Manager, Makerspace Manager and Branch Programming Manager. Excluded: Confidential employees, managerial employees, guards, and supervisors as defined in the act.

Unit Sought: All full-time and regular part-time registered nurses employed and assigned by the Employer to the facility currently located at 7125 13th Place, NW, Washington, DC 20012; but excluding all other employees, office clerical employees, professional employees, confidential employees, casual employees, temporary employees, managerial employees, guards, and supervisors as defined in the Act.

Unit Sought: Included: The following editorial positions for employees who will be employed by Scientific American, Inc. on or around October 1, 2026, are included in the unit: Prepress / Quality Manager Senior Graphics Editor Associate Editor Associate Editor, Mind and Brain Associate Copy Editor Multimedia Editor Senior Reporter Senior Copy Editor Breaking News Reporter Data Editor Senior Copy Editor Senior Editor, Technology Breaking News Reporter Senior Editor, Earth and Environment Excluded: All other editorial and non-editorial positions are excluded, including but not limited to all office clericals, supervisors, managerial employees, confidential employees, professional employees, guards, interns, advertising employees, information technology employees, and all other positions exempt under the National Labor Relations Act. Others permitted to vote: The parties have agreed that individuals in the classifications of Chief Art Director; Senior News Editor, Team Lead; Senior Multimedia Editor; and Managing Copy Editor may vote in the election, but their ballots will be challenged since their eligibility has not been resolved. No decision has been made regarding whether the individuals in these classifications are included in, or excluded from the bargaining unit. The eligibility or inclusion of these classifications will be resolved, if necessary, following the election.
