Regional Directors
These Decisions may be of interest to individuals and organizations researching
NLRB policy and law relating to union representation elections. Decisions and
Directions of Elections (D&DEs) and Decisions and Orders (D&Os) are
issued by Regional Directors after a petition for a representation election is
filed, and a hearing is conducted. In a D&DE, the Regional Director
concludes that the prerequisites to an election have been satisfied and directs
that an election be conducted. In a D&O, the Regional Director determines
that an election should not be conducted and the petition is dismissed. A party
to the representation case may request review of the decision of the Regional
