On August 31, 2011, one of our agents, Compliance Officer Jon Grove gave a presentation to about 25 organizing directors and organizers from AFSME. He explained the Board’s organizational structure and then concentrated on the processing of petitions and unfair labor practice charges during an organizing campaign. He went over how to file a petition and how the Region processes R cases. He discussed the various R case unit issues that may arise. He gave examples of typical alleged violations by an employer during an organizing campaign and how the Region processes charges and what is expected of the charging party.
