The National Labor Relations Board: What Every Employment Lawyer Needs to Know

The State Bar of California Labor and Employment Law Section is holding its Annual Meeting on November 1-3, 2012 at the Balboa Bay Club.  Regional Director Olivia Garcia, in conjunction with labor and management representatives, will be discussing and analyzing the latest issues affecting both union and non-union workplaces. These will include the NLRB’s  recent guidelines on the use of social media by employees to communicate workplace issues; the revised election rules and procedures; class-action waivers in employer-mandated arbitration agreements (D.R. Horton, Inc.); the impact of the recent recess appointments to the Board;  and other important topics that impact most workplaces in the private sector.
