Advocacy Meeting - EEOC NLRB DOL WHD OFCCP

On February 24, 2012, Paul R. Irving, Deputy Regional Attorney, Region 28, gave a presentation -- An Overview of the National Labor Relations Act -- as part of a panel discussion of federal employment statutes and agencies at an Advocates Forum hosted by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in Phoenix, Arizona.  In addition to Region 28, also presenting information regarding their agencies’ and departments’ respective areas of responsibility were representatives of the United States Department of Labor - Office Federal Contract Compliance Programs; the United States Department of Labor - Wage Hour Division; and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.  Approximately 40 attendees, including employee rights advocates and representatives from community based organizations, unions and other organizations, were present.
