30th Annual OCLERA Conference

On July 25, 2012, Regions 21 and 31, in conjunction with the Orange County Chapter of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (OC LERA) and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), sponsored the 30th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference in Anaheim, CA.  Region 21 Director Olivia Garcia and Region 31 Director Rubin Mori represented the Agency on the panel covering NLRB Hot Topics.  The keynote luncheon speaker was NLRB Board Member Sharon Block, who provided an update on the Board and case developments.  A diverse audience of almost 200 labor and management attorneys, union representatives, human resources managers, government officials, academics and neutrals from Southern California attended.  In addition, numerous employees from both Southern California Regional Offices attended the event.   Regional Director Olivia Garcia, ARD Bruce Hill and Field Attorney Ami Silverman served on the OCLERA's Planning Committee.
